TALL FESCUE (COOL SEASON)
Tall Fescue is a coarse textured, bunch-type grass that adapts to a wide range of soil types. Forming a deep root system, it is one of the most drought-tolerant and wear resistant cool season grasses available. Care must be taken when blending it with other grasses and it is recommended to have no less than 70% Tall Fescue content in a seed blend.
Best time to Sow: Spring or Autumn
Grows Best In: Temperate areas with a temperature of 15 - 25 degrees celsius.
PERENNIAL RYEGRASS (COOL SEASON)
Perennial Ryegrass is the most widely used grass for turf applications. It establishes quickly from seed and forms a hard wearing lawn. Perennial Ryegrass is non-creeping and best suited to cool, moist regions. It's included in many of our cool season seed blends.
Best time to Sow: Spring or Autumn

KIKUYU (WARM SEASON)
Kikuyu is an aggressive warm season grass that is low maintenance with high wear tolerance. It spreads by stolons and rhizomes and can form a dense spongy turf. Kikuyu grass is also ideal for erosion control on hillsides and banks.
Best time to Sow: Whenever there are consistently warm temperatures between 25 and 32 degrees celsius.
Grows Best In: Areas with very warm soil temperatures, with enough time to establish before the cooler seasons

COUCH GRASS (WARM SEASON)
Couch is a warm season, low growing creeping grass that spreads rapidly by rhizomes. It has flat leaves and upright flowers and once established has good wear resistance and drought tolerance. The improved varieties will have greater density, finer leaves with better winter dormancy colour.
Best time to Sow: Whenever there are consistently warm temperatures between 25 and 32 degrees celsius.
Grows Best In: Areas with very warm soil temperatures, with enough time to establish before the cooler seasons.
ZOYSIA GRASS (WARM SEASON - TROPICAL)
Zoysia grass is a warm season tropical grass that loves the heat, copes well wtih drought and heavy wear and tear. It's for Tropical areas of Australia only and has a premium price point.
Best time to Sow: Whenever there are consistently warm temperatures between 25 and 32 degrees celsius.
Grows Best In: Tropical areas of Australia - Brisbane and North.

BENTGRASS (COOL SEASON)
Bentgrass has a deep carpet-like, green appearance that forms a thick velvety cover. It produces a fine cottage lawn suitable for a home putting or golf green. Most bentgrasses are creeping which spread by stolons. They will provide a fine textured, dense and low growing turf. Bentgrass is a cool season grass and requires cool, humid conditions for best results.
Best time to Sow: Spring or Autumn

KENTUCKY BLUEGRASS (COOL SEASON)
Kentucky Bluegrass is a dark green, medium textured cool season grass that forms an attractive, soft lawn. It spreads by rhizomes and is identified by its shiny smooth leaves with a boat shaped tip. Kentucky Bluegrass is slow to establish from seed, and blends well with fine ryegrass.
Best time to Sow: Spring or Autumn
Grows Best In: Temperate areas with a temperature of 15 - 25 degrees celsius
FINE RYEGRASS (COOL SEASON)
Fine Ryegrass is a clean cutting, fine textured grass that establishes quickly from seed. It is ideal for a premium lawn that will tolerate low mowing and when blended with fine fescue or bluegrass forms a high quality turf.
Best time to Sow: Spring or Autumn
Grows Best In: Temperate areas with a temperature of 15 - 25 degrees celsius
CREEPING RED FESCUE (COOL SEASON)
Creeping Red Fescue forms a very fine textured turf of high shoot density, uniformity and quality. It has a creeping habit from rhizomes and can tolerate close mowing, as low as 3mm on fine turf situations. Creeping Red Fescue has excellent shade tolerance and mixes well with creeping bentgrass. Not sold separately.

CHEWINGS FESCUE (COOL SEASON)
Chewings Fescue is similar in appearance to Red Fescue with one exception – it has a non-creeping, bunch type growth habit. Chewings Fescue is often used as a component of seed mixtures to fill gaps. It can tolerate close mowing, as low as 3mm on fine turf surfaces.
