What to do when you want a green lush lawn in Winter but live from a big tree next door and have reduced sunlight?
Simone and Carl in Hawthorn, Victoria solved this challenge with our Rapid Green Sun and Shade Blend. Perfect for shaded lawns. The odds were against it - seeding in winter, not that much sun in that spot of their garden and soil wasn't perfect. But they needed a project in lockdown and have shown that it's possible.
Their chosen blend, Rapid Green Sun and Shade is specifically designed to produce a lawn capable of withstanding limited sunlight. Despite low soil temperatures and the other challenges they mentioned, they've sown a lawn that's deep green in colour and shade tolerant. While it's still establishing and needs to thicken up, Simone and Carl are really happy with the progress. They'll be oversowing a little more in Spring to fill in a few gaps.
