1. Prepare the Soil

2. Weeds are a big no!
Weeds can hinder the optimal growth of dichondra. Remove as many as you can before sowing. Then, if you see weeds appearing in the soil hand pick them while the Dichondra is establishing.
3. Time for Germination
Keep the soil damp for around 3-4 weeks for the best germination results. The ideal time to plant dichondra is when temperatures are moderately warm (around 20-25 degrees celcius. It's possible to establish in cooler weather but be aware that germination is slower.
4. Shade? No problem.
Dichondra thrives with partial shade to filtered sunlight. Make sure to watch the weather conditions and regularly water to keep irrigated.
