Why Do I Need a Starter Fertiliser?

Using a Starter Fertiliser boosts germination, strengthens roots and ensures the developing plant gets the correct nutrients it needs to establish and thrive. Always apply a Starter Fertiliser with your seed for the best results.

When do I use KickStart Starter Fertiliser?

New Lawns: Apply to soil up to two days before seeding or at time of sowing. Water in well.

Existing Lawns: Apply to lawn up to two days before seeding or at time of sowing. Water in well.

When germination has occurred and regular mowing has commenced switch to a Maintenance Fertiliser like Best Nitrex, All Season Reno or Gold Pro Controlled Release Fertiliser and apply at least four times a year.  Twice in Autumn and twice in Spring.

How to Apply:

  • Apply 3kg / 100m2.
  • Water in well.
  • For best results use a broadcast fertiliser spreader.

FAQ:

Is it safe for kids and pets?

Yes, Water in well after applying and it’s safe for you and your family.

Will this burn my lawn?

Use the recommended rate.  Watering in your fertiliser will avoid burning. Using a fertiliser spreader decreases the risk of turf burn by applying the product more evenly.
